We started the day out at the Rainbow Falls Trailhead and proceeded to hike to the waterfall.
From there the fun began of today's off-trail adventure.
Off-trail hiking is inherently dangerous and should
only be attempted by experienced hikers with strong
navigation skills. Expect steep terrain, dense vegetation,
unstable footing, sudden weather changes, and no
marked routes. Cell service is unreliable or nonexistent,
and rescue may be delayed or impossible. A single
mistake can result in serious injury or worse. Always
carry proper navigation tools, emergency supplies,
and let someone know your exact plans. If you are
unsure, do not leave the trail.
We went up at Rainbow Falls and followed the creek for several miles until we reached the Rainbow Falls and Bullhead trail intersection.
