Central Waqf Council is a statutory body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Minority Affairs was set up in 1964 as per the provision given in the Waqf Act, 1954 as Advisory Body to the Central Government on matters concerning the working of the Waqf Boards and the due administration of Auqaf. However, the role of the Council was expanded significantly under the provisions of the Waqf (Amendment) Act, 2013. The Council has been empowered to advise the Central Government, State Governments and State Waqf Boards. It will now issue directives to the boards/ State Government to furnish information to the Council on the performance of the board particularly on their financial performance, survey, revenue records, encroachment of Waqf properties, Annual and Audit report etc under section 9 (4) of the act.

CWS invites proposals for running the Common Service Centres from NGOs/CBOs working in the field of enrolment, admissions & coaching students for securing admissions through EWS quota or by way of organizing camps for identifying needy & poor children, facilitating them in documentation and submission of online application, etc

Eligibility Conditions for NGOs/CBO

1. Registration under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, Trust Act 1982 or the Religious & Charitable Institution Registration Act, 1920
2. Three Year Existing Mandatory
3. Have Prior Experience in Education for three years, especially for Girls’ Education.
4. Turnover should be 2 Lac per year
5. NGOs Should be actively registered on the NGO-Darpan Portal of NITI Aayog.
6. The members of one family should not be more than 50% of the Managing Committee.

• Application in the prescribed Performa of the scheme.
• List of Members with Aadhar Card & Contact number.
• Fee Structure
• Details of Activities undertaken for supporting education among Muslims & Tribes through campaign, counseling & caching in the past one/two years.
• Details of Teachers/Counsellors/Mobilisers.
• Certified copy Memorandum of Association & Rules-Regulations or Trust Deed.
• Copy of NGO’s Registration with NITI Aayog’s Portals.
• Certified copy of Audit Report with Balance Sheet, Receipt/Payment & Income/Expenditure statements of NGO for the last two years mentioning FRN NO. Membership No. UDIN No.
• Affidavit/Undertaking on Rs.100/- stamp paper declaring that the NGO is not Blacklisted.
• Affidavit/Undertaking on Rs.100/- paper declaring that the Institute is run and managed by the applicant Society/Trust (NGO).
• Affidavit/Undertaking on Rs.100/- paper declaring that the members of one family in the Managing Committee are less than 50%
• NGO’s account details along with PAN and exemption order under 12-A if any.
