I've been waiting all summer to make this video! Fall is probably my favorite time of year and I love PUMPKIN SPICE everything. I also couldn't help myself... I wanted to try all of the pumpkin spice goodies I got so you'll also see me TRYING and REACTING in this video!


*NOT SAFE*
PUMPKIN CANDIES: I thought these would at least taste like PUMPKIN or PUMPKIN SPICE , but they didn't. They're sticky, kind of like candy corn, I would avoid them with braces on.
CANDY CORN : Candy corn is really sticky and chewy, it also has a lot of sugar in it and can be tough to clean out from your braces. The goal with braces treatment is to limit the amount of sugar consumption and the amount of time the sugar sits on your braces so you don't get CAVITIES AND WHITE SPOTS!
PUMPKIN SEEDS : avoid nuts and seeds with braces!

SAFER
PUMPKIN PEEPS / MARSHMALLOWS : these are a safer option, but I would definitely brush your teeth after !!
CAKE POPS: If you're at a party or you're looking for a 'braces safe' dessert. Cake pops are a great option, I like that they're SMALL PORTION SIZE and meant to be eaten quickly (the quicker you consume sugar the better it actually is for your teeth because it limits the amount of time the sugar sits on your teeth for!) I recommend taking the stick out of the cake pop before eating it so you don't actually break your BRACES OFF ! NOTHING IS BRACES PROOF, so as always, be careful and brush and floss after consuming carbohydrates / sugar.
PUMPKIN PIE : This is one of my favorite desserts, there are also many different recipes that lower the amount of sugar, which is always ideal with braces. But if you're at a party or you just want a sweet dessert that's not going to break your braces off, this is one of my favorites for fall !
Pumpkin Spice Muffin : Nice and soft and safe for braces, again, just brush your teeth after! There are also low sugar/healthier versions that can be made at home! Regardless if it's 'healthier' or not, anything with carbs or 'carbohydrates' in it ultimately breaks down to sugar in the mouth eventually (even potato chips!) so I recommend brushing after every meal if you have braces!
