89. Huakaʻi Pō (Night Marchers)

Mana-full Mondays: Growing up in Hawaiʻi, you hear all kinds of moʻolelo having to do with Hawaiian beliefs and spirituality. One of the most well known are the stories of our chiefly ancestral spirits who march during specific phases of the moon, the Night Marchers. Now I was one of those keiki who were suuuuuper curious when it came to anything "supernatural" that I undoubtably went through a phase where I was obsessed with reading books like Obake Files, Chicken Skin, etc, etc. Let me also add that one of my fav Hawaiian music groups (Sudden Rush Hawai’i) also had a song playing on the radio everyday called Night Marchers (which still goes hard to this day 🔥 ) that only fueled my interest in these topics. Basically, I wanted to share this clip with you all so that we (my Facebook Fam) can further reflect and discuss some our own spiritual ancestral teachings/stories that continue to play a role in our everyday lives.
