The lead single from Boz Scagg's Middle Man, "Breakdown Dead Ahead", peaked at #15, continuing his late '70s run of hits, spawning from the Silk Degrees album. Written by Scaggs and prolific songwriter/producer David Foster, "Breakdown" employed LA session veterans including Rick Marotta (Steely Dan), and Toto members David Hungate, Lenny Castro and the legendary, Steve Lukather. The song still proves to be a fan favorite during Scagg's live performances.
