Kerala CM Selection Deadlock | Congress Leaves Decision to High Command

Описание: The selection of the next Chief Minister in Kerala has reached a deadlock, with the Congress Legislative Party (CLP) deciding to leave the final decision to the party high command.

At a meeting held at Indira Bhavan in Thiruvananthapuram, KPCC President Sunny Joseph moved the resolution, which was unanimously approved by all newly elected MLAs.

Following the decision, AICC observers Mukul Wasnik and Ajay Maken held separate discussions with the MLAs to gather their opinions. They will submit a detailed report to the Congress high command for the final decision.

Senior leaders including V.M. Sudheeran, K. Sudhakaran, Ramesh Chennithala, and V.D. Satheesan also held discussions with AICC observers. The main contenders for the Kerala Chief Minister post include V.D. Satheesan, Ramesh Chennithala, and K.C. Venugopal.

The UDF alliance, led by Congress, secured 102 seats in the recently concluded Kerala Assembly elections. Meanwhile, the Governor has reportedly dissolved the 15th Kerala Assembly.
