This was a super exciting day as this was our first time on the Disney Wish (the newest Disney Cruise ship). It was October 31st which meant it was the last Halloween Cruise of the year so we got dressed up for the holiday. We got all checked in and through security at Port Canaveral the DCL terminal and then it was finally time for us to get on board.
As we arrived on to the ship the first thing we saw was the Pumpkin Tree in the atrium and we had a cast member introduce our family to the ship. It was so magical boarding, we saw Flynn Ryder and Rapunzel and the Cinderella, Jaq & Gus and Lucifer statues and even got our own wands!
After this we had a look at The Bayou on the way to see Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge as this was the only day we could see it as we didn't have reservations. After looking around there we went to see the Kids Club for the same reason as we can't see it after Embarkation day. We went down the slide to it and the first thing I noticed was the amazing artwork on the walls showcasing some of my favourite characters like Anna and Elsa and Miguel and Dante. The Kids Club has a really incredible Star Wars area, a cool Marvel area and a Princess area featuring Frozen, Tangled and Beauty and the Beast.
On our way for some food at Marceline Market we saw Cinderella and Prince Charming in the atrium. The food at Marceline wasn't the greatest, the food was cold and they didn't have very good options for vegetarians. I definitely prefer the food at Cabanas on the Magic. But we did have a pretty cool view of the Kennedy Space Center which Dad seemed to enjoy.
It was now time for us to check in to our room. We had such a beautiful Cinderella room which was a family veranda, it was slightly bigger than the usual rooms which was so good especially since we're a family of 4 adults so we needed all the extra room we could get. The headboard was gorgeous with the pumpkin carriage on and it even lit up. I think the rooms on the Wish are so much nicer than the other ships.
After freshening up in our room we went for some drinks on deck 11 whilst we waited for the Set Sail on a Wish show. The show was so good, I even teared up watching it. I also loved it as I've never seen a sail away party show before as I only have been on the Magic when we still had Covid restrictions. We then had some soft serve ice cream since it was so hot and then went to our rooms to get changed for dinner before the show. The show was called Disney Seas the Adventures and it was my favourite theatre show we saw on this cruise.
Then we went for drinks at The Bayou, I 100% recommend this if you're going onboard the Wish! It was so beautiful, amazing service, nice drinks and live music! I had a raspberry beer and it was really good, they even sell beignets here, they are an additional charge though. For Halloween they did a Pumpkin Tree lighting so we headed over to the atrium to watch that after our drinks and then before our dinner we did some shopping at Treasures Untold.
On our way to Worlds of Marvel featuring Ant-man and The Wasp I found my first duck which we decided to re hide after dinner. This restaurant looked so much better in real life then on Youtube videos but it was still my least favourite on this ship. The food wasn't good at all (for vegetarians), the tables felt super close together and we were next to the screen which I thought was a good thing at first but it was a struggle looking at the screens as they were so big!
After dinner we got in line to meet Minnie, Daisy and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson sisters, the were very cute but we didn't have the best experience since I got told off as we weren't allowed separate photos. But to make up for that we ended up meeting Tim Tracker right after and had a lovely conversation with him.
We toured some of the decks and had some walks around them and then went back to our room to get changed so we could play some Uno on deck 11 with some drinks and I got some pizza slices as I didn't eat my dinner at the restaurant. After a few games we decided to call it a night as we were so tired and wanted to be up early for a day at sea!
Make sure to check out next weeks vlog were we go to Arendelle dressed as Anna and Elsa as it was Halloween Party night!
