Introducing speaker Boudewijn Koole
On Saturday 14 May The Ritman Library together with the Stichting Rozenkruis and the Center for the History of Hermetic Philosophy and Related Currents of the University of Amsterdam will organize a special day devoted to Gilles Quispel, the ‘nestor of gnosis research’ in the Netherlands on the hundredth anniversary of his birthday.
On this special day dedicated to the scholarly legacy of Gilles Quispel a number of former colleagues and students of Gilles Quispel will discuss themes related to his work in particular and hermetic and gnostic studies in general. In addition to the presentations by Roelof van den Broek, Wouter Hanegraaff, Annine van der Meer, Jacob Slavenburg and Boudewijn Koole, the programme features music by composer Leo Köhlenberg, who wrote a score for alto flute, piano and cello inspired by the Corpus Hermeticum.
