📌 Fighter Solo vs Harpy - Combat Guide
– How to Deal with Aerial Enemies Effectively –
For a solo Fighter without ranged options,
Harpies can be especially troublesome enemies.
However, by understanding their behavior patterns,
they can be handled safely and consistently.
✔ Low-Flying Harpies
Harpies flying at low altitude present the best attack opportunity.
When their height drops, using
Cloudward Slash allows you to knock them out of the air effectively.
✔ When Harpies Close in for Physical Attacks
When a Harpy approaches to perform a physical attack,
successfully timing a parry will knock it to the ground.
Once grounded, it’s best to finish it quickly.
⚠ Important: Status Attacks & Grab Attacks
Harpy status-inflicting attacks and grab attacks
👉 cannot be blocked with a shield and cannot be parried.
Instead of forcing a guard,
use evasion options such as dashing or spin attacks to avoid the attack first,
then counter safely afterward.
(In many cases, simply repositioning is enough.)
✔ Identifying Grab Attacks
Grab attacks have a clear telegraph.
If a Harpy violently shakes its body in midair before approaching,
a grab attack is likely coming.
Be ready to dodge in advance.
⸻
✔ Dealing with Status Attacks
When Harpies use status attacks,
they briefly descend to a lower altitude and suffer from long recovery afterward.
This creates a perfect opening to move to the side or behind them
and land Cloudward Slash for a clean knockdown.
✅ Key Takeaways
• Low-flying Harpies → Knock them down with Cloudward Slash
• Physical attack approach → Parry, then finish quickly
• Status / Grab attacks
(Look for the large midair shaking motion)
→ Cannot be blocked or parried; evade first, then counter
