“A Little Night Music” was one of the more popular chamber pieces of Mozart composed in 1787 and was published posthumously. It was composed at a dark time for Mozart when he was out of money and work and had recently lost his father. The joyful and jubilant sounds were likely his way of bringing some light into this dark time. The theme of the first movement of the piece is arranged here in the key of F.
