Brainlab Headquarters—The Build-up (Part 1)

Описание: Brainlab has been growing exponentially in its current headquarters in Feldkirchen, Germany over the last eight years. Ballooning to over 600 employees at headquarters alone, Brainlab was in drastic need of more space to meet this dramatic growth.

To meet this need for space, Brainlab began construction on a new headquarters in Riem, a suburb of Munich, which will accommodate upwards of 1100 employees upon its completion in late 2016. Integrating a crucial part of Riem history into the building—the heritage Riem airport tower—Brainlab headquarters will breathe new life into this long unused landmark.

Beginning in November 2014, 82 construction workers have been working tirelessly to excavate the 185m x 48.5m foundation and have already used 4 cranes, 22,500m³ of concrete and 4,200 tons of steel.
