Sky News host Rita Panahi reacts to an American man in a dress chanting “free Palestine” at a rally in Washington DC.
In the video shared on X, formerly Twitter, by Center for Popular Democracy, the man can be seen chanting onstage at the National Mall.
“I do not have to tell our learned viewers what would happen to that man, or any man, in a dress if he walked down any street in Gaza – it would not end well,” Ms Panahi said.
“What these people don’t seem to understand is that the only place in the Middle East where those with alternative lifestyles are protected, where these people have some rights, is Israel.”
Activists were arrested during a sit-in at the United States Congress in Washington where protesters called for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas.
