Ever since I was born, my parents would drive from our home near Dayton Ohio and spend two weeks every summer at Lake Gage near Angola Indiana.
In the mid-60's I had the pleasure of meeting Ken Meloon for the first time. He dropped by the cottage we were staying in and offered to take me water skiing.
Ken even gave me a "demo" ride in a Seafoam Green Correct Craft Mustang. Boy, was I "hooked" after that test drive. A couple years later I purchased a 16' Mustang in the Mahogany color scheme.
In the early 70's I managed to get a dealership with Mid-West Correct Craft and was able to sell about half a dozen boats and numerous parts to customers in the Dayton Ohio area.
You'll see some footage of Ken demonstrating these boats on Lake Gage. One exciting maneuver these boats could do in complete safety, was to do a full 180 degree spin-out at wide open throttle. This was a great maneuver to learn in case you had to stop in an emergency to avoid hitting another boat or obstruction.
