Green River mourns Mayor Ren Hatt, killed in head-on crash on Highway 6

Описание: The community of Green River is grieving the loss of its 40-year-old mayor, Ren Hatt, who was killed in a head-on crash on U.S. Highway 6 after a semi-truck drifted into oncoming traffic late Friday night.

City Manager Edward Castro Bennett, one of Hatt’s closest friends, said the mayor’s influence on the community will be felt for years.

“Ren was pretty much what you would expect a small-town mayor to be when he grew up in Green River,” Bennett said. “Everyone he came across, he left an impact on.”
