Our friends and family knew we were going to try and get pregnant once we came back from Scotland / Kari's wedding. What they didn't know was Holly and I purchased land for our dream home during this same time period. In order to divert their attention from the (obvious) pregnancy announcement, we decided to surprise them first with our land purchase and follow up immediately with the fact Holly is pregnant. Lastly, we did gender reveals (this time including ourselves, which was very exciting) through frosting-filled cupcakes!
