Today we're gonna take a look at the Gen-Y Voyager with Platinum Ball Mount rated up to 7,000 pounds. Now this guy is designed to absorb the shock from the road as you're going out on your adventure to give you a better experience and cause less wear on your gear. Now you will have to add a couple things, such as a ball and a pin and clip or a lock, but out the box, you're gonna be just about ready to hit the road. So let's take a closer look and see what it does. Now you definitely wanna make sure that your ball is rated within the capacity of your truck and within the capacity of the Voyager system. I just happen to have a 6,000 pound ball laying around, so I just threw it onto our ball mount for an example.

So just keep that in mind when you're ready to roll. You will receive one pin right here where you can remove (metal clinking) your platinum ball mount. And you also have this receiver that you can use other Gen-Y accessories. You definitely wanna make sure that you keep in mind that this can only be used in a drop position, so you can't flip it over for a rise. So what really is gonna absorb your shock is the torsion flex system on the inside of our hitch.

Now you can see these bushings on the inside are gonna basically absorb that shock so it doesn't transfer to your gear or your truck. And, again, this guy only works in the drop position in order for the torsion flex system to activate. Taking a look at our shank, you can see that this is a thick, quarter inch piece of steel that they used in order to get this guy going. And as always with Gen-Y, they use super thick powder coating as well as treatment underneath to help protect it against the elements. You can see where the grease is shot in on the movable parts, you can use basically any approved lubricant that will work to keep it, you know, good and inservice as you go down the road.

But out the box, you are just about ready to go just with the addition of a pin and clip and a ball. And actually, it would be really cool if you we inchesre to show us what you're dragging around with your ball mount because we just love having that interaction with you.
