Welcome to Episode #1 of Lean Eating On the Go.
In this series, we’re showing you exactly what we would order at different fast-food spots when life gets busy and meal prep just isn’t an option.
Because let’s be honest — sometimes you don’t have time to cook, you’re on the go, and fast food is the only choice. The problem is most people don’t know what to order without blowing their calories or missing their protein goals.
That’s where this series comes in.
Our rules are simple:
• Keep calories under control
• Prioritize protein
• Make ordering fast, easy, and realistic
We’re not here to pretend fast food is “healthy,” and we’re not always choosing the tastiest item on the menu — but we are choosing the most calorie-friendly, high-protein options so you know exactly what to get when you’re in a pinch.
For Episode #1, we stopped at Chick-fil-A.
Here’s what we ordered:
• Chicken Cool Wrap
• 8-count Grilled Nuggets
That brings us to 580 total calories with 67 grams of protein, which is a solid win for eating out.
For those following our color chart system, this comes out to:
• 2 proteins
• 0.5 carb
• 0.5 fat
And honestly — it was pretty tasty. Definitely something we’d order again.
