'Such an Evolution': Deadpool & Wolverine's Aaron Stanford on Pyro's Return After 18 Years

Slowly but surely, everyone's favorite Marvel superheroes and villains are integrating themselves into the same home -- including Aaron Stanford's villainous John Allerdyce, AKA Pyro.

Stanford played a supporting role in the last two X-Men movies of the original trilogy, as Pyro was tempted by Magneto to join the Brotherhood of Mutants. But when he was defeated by Iceman in 2006's X-Men: The Last Stand, both Stanford and the fans thought that was the end of the character in live-action. But after a phone call from director Shawn Levy, the actor got the chance to gear up as Pyro once again in a more expansive world. CBR got to talk to Stanford about Pyro's role in Deadpool & Wolverine, including his comic-book accurate suit and "shaking people" out of superhero fatigue.
