In this video, I talk about competitor conquest campaigns. These campaigns are fantastic at picking up searches that are already ready to buy (they're looking for your competitor). The role of this campaign is to capture that traffic and send it to your competitor comparison landing page (from which point it's your landing page's job to convert them).
I typically run this campaign at 10% of budget and scale it up once we have proof of concept/sales. I'll run phrase/exact match keywords + a tCPA bid strategy, and move toward tROAS after we get a few sales.
This can actually perform better than your standard, non branded search campaigns. I suggest giving this a try - you might be shocked with the results you get.
