1962 Caterpillar 933F Traxcavator, in this video we have to do some work on the passenger side sprocket. Due to the lack of bearings in the final drive, the splines on the sprocket became deformed and wouldn’t tighten up on the new final drive assembly.
On the parts machine we have we took one of the old sprockets that had almost no teeth but the inside splines where good. After cutting and re welding the good teeth onto the good sprocket center, we could put the tracks back onto the loader.
When putting the track links back together we had to weld the master pin back in, a previous owner also had welded the master pin probably due to wear and it falling out.
The track loader is in good running condition, although there is still a list of other things that need some work.
•Track springs on both sides.
•Making Track adjustment / spring covers
•Wanna re add the roof / cage to protect the operator
•4 in 1 bucket on the front needs some TLC (lots of welding)
•Should get new Hydraulic hoses
•Finish Painting
