Why I fed whole leaves to my indoor worm bin -- it's for the critters!

Описание: I noticed a few little roly-poly's (pill bugs) creeping back into my Eat My Shorts indoor worm bin again. Maybe they never went away, but they are certainly back now. According to Bentley Christie, these little chewing insects are critical for breaking down large pieces of carbon like whole leaves before microbes and worms can finish up the decomposition. Fortunately, I saved some whole leaves in a bucket out on my patio, so the leaves have been nicely dampened with rainwater for at least three weeks and were starting to break down. This was the perfect opportunity for me to feed them to Eat My Shorts and give the roly-poly's some work to do!
