The Hogueras de San Juan (Bonfires of Saint John), or San Juan festival, is a traditional and popular fiesta celebrated in the city of Alicante, Spain, from June 19 to 24. I would class it as the biggest party in Alicante.

It is one of the most important and internationally recognized festivals in the Valencian Community. The celebration ultimately stems from a tradition of bonfires for Saint John's Eve that can be found in many places, among them the Mediterranean coast of Spain, especially Catalonia and the Valencian Community; in Alicante, it's the official and most important festivity in the city. It was officially declared as a Fiesta of International Tourist Interest in 1983 and a Bien de Interés Cultural Inmaterial in 2014.

On the night of June 24, the bonfires are set alight, and the ninots are burned to the ground. This is a symbolic act of cleansing and renewal, and it is also a time for people to let go of their worries and troubles.
