Ever wonder how to turn an inspiring spoken-word interview into a full musical track? In today's video, I break down my creative process for building a beat around a powerful Charles Bukowski interview.Instead of my usual 4/4 workflow, I switch things up with a 6/8 time signature and take you through the entire journey—from recording the initial guitar chords and live bass , to chopping up the vocal samples and adding atmospheric violins. We'll build up an epic "B Section" using synths and distortion , and then listen to the final track skeleton together.Making music based on ideas and spoken word can be challenging, but letting the ideas shine through the music is incredibly rewarding.
