RTSA Concerned with increasing number of road accidents

The Road Transport and Safety Agency -RTSA - is concerned with the continued violation of traffic Laws and Regulations by Public Service Vehicle Operators.
RTSA - Director and Chief Executive Officer AMON MWEEMBA says there is a need to put such behavior to an end as it does not only risk the lives of drivers but other road users.
Mr. MWEEMBA said the increased road accidents in the Country are worrisome and that if nothing is done people will continue losing lives.
He disclosed this during a meeting with bus drivers in Lusaka held to appreciate their challenges.
And , Lusaka City Council - Public Health Director VICTOR KAGOLI appealed to drivers to load their buses from designated bus stations in order to maintain sanity that has been brought in the Lusaka Central Business District.
Mr. KAGOLI notes that loading in undesignated areas does not only attract street vending but also robs the Council of its revenue as they do not pay Council levy .
Meanwhile, Capital Buses Managing Director ISHMAEL KANKARA called for equal application of the law when handling all road users.
