Maybe we're getting inclusive leadership wrong...
the allyship training, the business case, the 6Cs, the servant leadership models
...these tend to start with what leaders should do for other people.
But what if the biggest blind spot in inclusive leadership is that we never start with the leaders themselves?
This Friday I'm joined by Adrianne Arendse, co-founder of Lead and Belong and a facilitator, educator and consultant whose work sits at the intersection of belonging, leadership and 'deep work'. Adrianne has spent years working with leaders and students on what it actually takes to create the conditions for belonging - not as a buzzword, but as a lived, embodied experience.
We'll be exploring:
→ Why senior leaders are the group most likely to mask at work and what that costs everyone beneath them
→ Why belonging and psychological safety at the top of organisations is often a myth, and what happens when "the dark beating heart" of leadership goes unchecked
→ What changes when leaders connect to themselves first, before being told what to do for others
