「無能な老人」と「有能な老人」の違いを、自分のやらかしを通して考えてみました。
I reflect on the difference between an “incompetent” and a “capable” old man through my own failures.
忘れ物、やりすぎ、余計な一言。
Forgetting things, doing too much, saying unnecessary things.
そして、ちょっとしたケガ。
And even a small injury.
でも不思議と、「無能でよかったな」と思えた正月でした。
But strangely, it made me think, “I’m glad I was incompetent.”
能力が落ちたから無能なのではなく、自分を更新できなくなった時、人は本当の意味で無能になるのかもしれません。
Being incompetent isn’t about losing ability, but about losing the ability to update yourself.
