Entering the lobby of R.M.I. Studios in Los Angeles is where we start our interview series with Russ Miller. First, we have a quick conversation in the lobby checking his Wall of Fame - with a very diverse and mixed palette of Gold and Platinum records. A key moment in his career was recording Nelly Furtado's mega hit 'I'm Like a Bird', selling over 9 million copies. Notice Tina Turner and Hilary Duff on the wall as well. During the video, also check the walls in the Control Room, there are a lot more mega successes and names on the walls.

Inside the control room this video gets a little more technical level. But do not let this scare you, Russ is a really funny guy and makes watching this really easy!

Here he explains how his studio is built, and why all the equipment is of the highest levels in the industry, but all focused on drum recording. In the next section he explains how drummers on Russ his artist level have drum kits 'moving around' - going from studio to studio to a live gig.
