If that play against Damian Lillard last night looked familiar, it might be because Andre Iguodala is a MASTER at that swipe down strip steal/block. Obviously Dre was drafted in 2004, so he’s been in the league a while and we can’t actually expect him to be able to bring this type of defensive effort every night for the Warriors, especially since 82 games is a grind, but when you’re playing well into June, you have to save yourself. That being said, if he DID, he’d definitely be able to make a number of All-Defensive teams. Still.

LeBron James. Kevin Durant. Kyrie Irving. Damian Lillard. Russell Westbrook. Kawhi Leonard. Nikola Jokic. Vince Carter. Kevin Love. DeMar DeRozan. Al Horford. Those are just a couple of the guys Iggy has gotten with this. He's almost a master of the mystic arts with how he seems to magically make a CLEAN play on the ball when he has almost no business being able to make a play at all.

This is actually one of my all-time favorite times of plays because I saw MJ do this and it was very informative to how I play and even coach basketball. I have the link below, but there is a play where Jordan splits the double and finishes with this crazy hang and hit, picks off an attempted long inbounds, gets stripped by Xavier McDaniel (with the help of John Starks) and is now trailing the play the whole way. He manages to track back, get a lunge in so he can reach across and swipe down and it deflects off of X. CLEAN. Famously, Magic Johnson was on the call: “who’s game is it? It’s Michael Jordan’s game.”
