The Southern New England Trunkline Trail is a 22 mile rail trail located in the Massachusetts towns of Franklin, Bellingham, Blackstone, Uxbridge and Douglas. The name pays homage to the built but never operated Southern New England Railway, but follows the right of way of the New Haven Railroad. This video covers the Easternmost section from Franklin to Blackstone. Some of the section has yet to be improved, but is open to adventurous hikers and cyclists.
At 6:11 I mistakenly mentioned "Blackstone Junction", it is "Woonsocket Junction."
Outdoors With John
Hi I’m John and I enjoy being outdoors. I am passionate about hiking, biking (road cycling and mountain biking), backpacking, bikepacking, and snowshoeing. I love traveling in our Class C Motorhome and visiting our national parks. I enjoy the natural and historical aspects of the outdoors and often share that on my videos. I also enjoy putting together videos that capture my adventures. I’m not an expert, and I try not to offer too much advice. If you’re like me, I suspect you’ll find value in most of these adventures.
