Описание: Extra sunday video. This elevator is a replacement for an old one. How unfortunate. The new elevator looks very dull and doesn't fit this rather weird looking building at all. Björnrike is a Ski area next to Vemdalen. This is the only building with an elevator in that area.

How to reach this place by public transport? First things first: This place is quite remote, so it requires some effort. Lets assume you traval to this place from outside the region - most likely from Stockholm.

During winter season there is a daily bus (1-2 departures each day) going from Stockholm or Arlanda Airport via Uppsala, Gävle, Bollnäs, Ljusdal to Björnrike vändslinga and Vemdalen. The same bus operates on the way back. The second option is to take a train to Röjan. This regional train, which is called Snötåget during winter season operate once each day. Take an SJ InterCity train to Mora and change to this train to get to Röjan. Same on the way back. Another train, operated by Snälltåget, directly connects to and from Stockholm and Malmö. It only goes once each week in the winter season and is part of the Malmö - Åre train. The train will be split up or connected together in Östersund.

Once you arrived at Röjan railway station, some seasonal ski bus services named "Snöpendeln" connect Vemdalen, Klövsjö, Storhogna, Vemdalsskalet and Björnrike together. Take this bus to Björnrike Centrat bus stop. If you take the bus to vändslinga bus stop in Björnrike, you might need a taxi to cover the 3 km distance between vändslinga and Centrat. Snöpendeln ski bus is the only bus that stops right at Centrat.

If you travel from Östersund (either because you live there or you arrive by plane at Östersund airport) there is no way to avoid a change. So you can either take bus 164 to Vemdalen by or the train to Röjan. Then change into the ski bus to reach your destination.
