Stefanya is the owner of Los Angeles Bellydance Academy. She is a principal cast member and choreographer for the Bellydance Superstars.

This dance is Baladi. Using the word baladi is much like when the word country is used in the United States. It means that something is of the home, or of my people. It is a very positive word and this dance is a beautiful and strong dance. This dance is characterized by its Baladi rhythm and earthy feeling of the dancer.

Stefanya is a performing professional with more than 15 years of professional dance experience. Beginning her dance training in Kansas, Stefanya is currently residing in Hollywood California, at the heart of the American dance scene, where she is working as a dancer, actress, and educator. Stefanya has dedicated herself to the fundamentals of her art, with extensive training in ballet, tap and jazz. Using a strong foundation in classical styles she mergers dances from multiple world traditions and western techniques to create a refined, energetic bellydance. As a passionate and disciplined performer, Stefanya is the epitome of artistic accomplishment.

In Stefanya's classes, students are encouraged to focus on the technical aspect of dance in a fun and creative way. With a strong yoga based warm up, bellydance isolation exercises, and across the floor that will have the student's soul flying. These classes are designed to take the student to the next level in their dance journey.

It was Stefanya's style and finesse that caught the eye of renowned producer Miles Copeland and she immediately begins performing with the "BELLYDANCE SUPERSTARS." Since then she has appeared in the Bellydance Superstars DVD's; "30 Days to Vegas" "Babelesque: Live from Tokyo," "The Art of Bellydance Live from Shanghai" and the newly released 3D DVDs vol. I and II all under the stage name of Stefanya. Taking dance to new heights, Stefanya made headlines as a featured stilt dancer in the world premiere of "Stilt World" and in the Bellydance Superstars' stage production "Raqs Carnival". Performing internationally as an ensemble member and solo artist, Stefanya has graced the stage in more the 20 countries throughout the world at such venues as, The Las Vegas Flamingo, Folies Berger Paris, France, Glastonbury Music and Arts Festival England, Casino de Monte Carlo, Monaco, with an exclusive performance for the Royal Family of Monaco. She has also performed at the American Choreography Awards, Jazz Dance LA, and at the "Focus Fish Flying Circus" She can be seen on screen in numerous national and international commercial campaigns, television shows, and films, with the distinct honor of working with personalities such as tap dance legend Jimmy Slyde, fitness culturalist Kathy Smith, talk show host Kelly Rippa and supermodel Heidi Klum. Positively unique, she is an exotic flower, blooming with every beat in rhythm.
