The first album of Argha/Nun trio is centered around the themes of travel and exile, whether geographical, fantastical or mystical. Covering more than ten centuries of music, it brings together French melodies (Duparc, Massenet, Poulenc, Ravel), a Latin meditation (Von Bingen), and Persian melodies handed down by Iranian masters since the dawn of time, based on texts by great figures of Persian literature such as Rumi and Hâfez. It is a right mixture of written music, oral tradition, poetic declamations in Persian and French, and improvisation. Two figures of travelers, one in Europe, the other in Persia, are looking for each other, dreaming of other worlds, they get closer and further away without knowing it, driven by the same breath. This breath, this spirit, is the universal power of poems and music.
