Using Expert Sleepers ES9 and Ableton as a digital mixer for eurorack live performance

Описание: I've been wanting to shrink down my rig for some international travel I have coming up to just make travelling easier on myself. Toting around a 12U of modular, power supplies, and extra gear really starts to add up in the wieght department quick, so I decided to go to 6U and move my mixing, send FX, and master FX into Ableton using the Expert Sleepers ES9, a Novation Launch Control XL, and a Macbook Pro (M2).

I tried the Push 3 and just couldn't hang and luckily, upgrading my computer made a hybrid set up feel more reliable and feasible. We'll see how it goes in the long haul, but hoping for the best here!

In this video, I show you how I set up ableton and grouped a few channels to fit within a channel count of 8 so I could easily control it with the Launch Control XL.

Yes, you can use ES9 as a standalone mixer, but I really wanted to use aAbleton for my FX as well and doing this allowed me to put two more voices in the space that my WMD Performance Mixer would normally go.
