In the 1980's Jim Findley built the Tioga Pass RR. Part #9 of this series features Mikado #45 an 2-8-2 imported by Pacific Fast Mail (PFM), built by United the locomotive is painted and detailed for the Tioga Pass RR as #45. It has constant lights, Firebox light extra weight added as well as Kadee couplers. In the early nineties I purchased the railroad from Jim with a plan to put it back into working order... but that never occurred. these locos have been hidden in a closet until recently!
These locos have been in storage for over 36 years...
There is one more elusive Tioga Pass loco to find... a PFM 2-8-2 that is hiding in the roundhouse somewhere! It has now been found after 37 years!!!
