Chasing a heavy train to the Williamsburg Hill. I think this is the first time that I have seen this engineer on the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. The train is westbound with all loads. It is led by an EMD MP15DC and an EMD SD40-2. The first 2 cars are loaded with raw railroad ties and the next 22 are loaded with stone from the Heidelberg Materials quarry in Plum Run, Ohio.
I chased the rock train from Mount Orab, Ohio to Williamsburg, Ohio. The video includes both sides of the train and I did another update at Purina. A lot of people have been asking for a Purina update. This time I show the plant and we can see some rock cars stored on the Purina spur. Purina has not started to use rail yet. Hopefully I will get the first loaded grain train going to Purina. Cincinnati Eastern Railroad, CCET, uses 160.860 and usually has a couple trains running.
I also included a couple of CSX trains that I never posted. Both of the CSX trains were filmed last month in Carlisle, Ohio. This is one of my favourite railroad crossings because you can park between the CSX and Norfolk Southern tracks. CSX runs a lot more trains than NS.
The first CSX train is a long mixed freight running northbound. Look at all the different freight cars and one of them has some very interesting graffiti. The second train is a huge northbound auto racks train. Look how many cars that a single locomotive can pull! The NS trains here are considered east and westbound while CSX is considered north and southbound. Best frequencies are 160.230 for CSX, 160.980 for Norfolk Southern and 452.9375 for the end of train device.
