In Long Beach, CA, young activists formed the group Khmer Girls in Action and took it upon themselves to conduct a survey to inform the public about the unique health needs and challenges of the largely refugee Cambodian population. Their efforts culminated in the creation of a public service announcement video and a presentation before state and local elected officials.
