This fresh and flavorful green chutney is perfect for samosas, pakoras, chaat, kebabs, and sandwiches. It’s Ramadan prep-friendly — just freeze in ice cube trays and use whenever needed!
🛒 Ingredients
• 1 cup fresh coriander (loosely packed)
• ½ cup fresh mint leaves (stems removed)
• 1 small tomato
• 2 garlic cloves
• 2-3 green chillies (adjust to taste)
• ½ lemon, deseeded and skin removed (white pith trimmed as much as possible)
• ½ tsp salt (or to taste)
• ½ tsp crushed chillies (optional)
• 1–2 tablespoons tamarind sauce
• 2–4 tbsp water (as needed)
🥣 Method:
1. Wash coriander and mint thoroughly.
2. Roughly chop tomato and herbs.
3. Add all ingredients to a blender.
4. Add water gradually and blend until smooth.
5. Adjust salt and spice to taste.
❄️ Ramadan Prep Tip:
Pour into ice cube trays and freeze. Once frozen, store in a freezer bag.
🥄 To Serve:
Thaw 1–2 cubes, mix with 1–2 tablespoons plain yogurt, stir well, and serve.
This version will taste extra fresh and slightly more rounded because of the blended lemon — honestly such a good tweak. 💚🌙
