BQ-CC55 is the best bang for the buck, you can get them for fairly cheap on eBay . It charges 3-4 AA batteries in 4 Hours, and 1-2 AA batteries in 2 Hours.

BQ-CC17 is what came with most combo deals now days that includes battery packs. It can charge each battery individually. But charging time is pretty slow. it is able to charge 1-4 AA batteries in 9 Hours.

NC-MQN06U is the original Sanyo eneloop charger. It is the oldest of the pack, it can only charge batteries in pairs. It can not charge 1 or 3 batteries (one of them won't get charged). Charging time for 2 or 4 AA batteries is about 10 Hours.

If you are looking for a performance charger, the BQ-CC55 is a winner.
