This short video shows the walk from the cruise port in Cartagena, Spain, up to the Castillo de Galeras.
The walk is relatively easy and at the Castle itself, you will be around 1000ft above sea level, so the views right across Cartagena and out to sea are rather fabulous. There are a couple of good lookout points, including the Mirador de la Esperanza.
The walk took us around an hour and didn't need any special clothing or footwear. (Amanda wore her normal, inappropriate sandals :) ).
After the walk, we went into the town of Cartagena and, after a bit of shopping, found a great little cafe where we had a couple of lovely drinks.
All in all, we like stopping at Cartagena, it's a nice friendly town and we enjoyed the walk and the views from the top.
