HOW TO MAKE COCONUT BOWL AT HOME WITH NO SPECIAL TOOLS | INTHEKITCHENWITHELISA

Описание: Hey hey hey 🙌 I am here again with another cool food related DIY and if only I could tell you how excited I am about this one. When I started filming I had no idea this would work out, but the end result wow, I mean really WOW😍I was super impressed myself. It could be better, of course, but for the first go and for someone like me who is not very patient when making things, I think the result is pretty amazing🤗😍 So here I am today with my tutorial on how to make coconut bowl at home with no special tools. For this tutorial I used:

a sharp knife (be very careful when using the knife so you dont hurt yourself)
a saw (I had two but I ended up using the smaller one as it was easier to handle)
a lot of sanding paper (I used grit size 80 and 120)
some small spoons (I also tried using a fork and a big spoon, but small and thick spoon was the best. Make sure the spoon is pretty thick so it doesnt bend).
a pencil
vegetable oil (I used sunflower oil) and some paper kitchen towels

Be careful when using the sharp tools in this tutorial so you dont hurt yourself. The coconut water is dirty when you get it out of the shell, because of the way the coconut is opened, so I would not recommend using it. However the coconut meat can be used for topping smoothie bowls, desserts or in salads. You can store the coconut meat in a plastic container in the fridge.

Making your own coconut bowl will take some time and it requires a lot of patience. If you have a mechanical sanding machine then use it as it will make your job much easier. I have not used one, but I think you need to be careful when using it so you dont get the coconut shell too thin.
