In this video, I’m sharing how to make authentic Chhath Mahaprasad – Thekua, bilkul ghar ke style mein.
Simple ingredients: gehu ka aata, gur, nariyal aur saunf — but the result, pure nostalgia and divine taste!

From melting gur to frying those golden thekuas, every step carries faith, patience and tradition.

🪔 Ingredients
2 cups gehu ka aata
½ glass paani
5–6 pieces gur
2 tbsp grated nariyal
1 tsp saunf
2 tbsp desi ghee (for dough)
Ghee (for frying)
🔆 Method
Heat half glass water and melt gur in it. Let it cool.
Mix gehu ka aata with desi ghee till it binds in your fist.
Add grated nariyal and saunf.
Pour the gur water slowly and make a tight dough.
Shape the thekuas (use a toothpick for design).
Fry on low-medium flame till golden brown.
