Our drive South into Utah took us down Hwy 44 which leads you through Ashley National Forest to the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Along the way you come through Red Canyon, another recreation area that offers wonderful views of the Flaming Gorge reservoir and high canyon cliffs nearly 1,400 feet deep. The drive was awesome and the views from the overlooks were amazing. Beautiful area! There's much more to see in the Flaming Gorge area so we'd like to return another time to experience more, like the dam.
