This video is all about exploring my village labrang. Labrang is a village in district Kinnaur of Himachal Pradesh. Due to corona rest of country is panicking meanwhile we the people in mountain are busy in our regular work. This is my first experience of sowing process and iam sharing my whole experience through this video.
We are doing sowing of buckwheat . We make chilta from this grain , which is traditional dish in kinnaur. Buckwheat is good source of protein, fibre and carbohydrates. It also help in managing diabetes.
Ploughing is done with the help of churu . We call zofo in our local dialect. It’s a hybrid of yak and cow.
After one month of sowing buckwheat leaves are plucked which is edible and we dry it and keep for winters . We call it brass soma in our local dialect.
