Yet, when we look at ourselves, we may not see transfiguration but disfiguration—when we give in to worldly desires and let sin distort us.
We are not meant for disfiguration.
Sometimes, we also settle for configuration—going through the motions and simply following blindly. But faith is not about mere conformity; it is about deep, personal change.
True transfiguration happens when we encounter God. Jesus took His disciples up the mountain to pray. This Lent, we are invited to do the same—to seek Him in silence, in surrender, in prayer.
In prayer, we can be transfigured.
