Hello, I’m Sabine O’Hara, your host of CAUSES, a television program series produced by the University of the District of Columbia’s College of Agriculture, Urban Sustainability and Environmental Sciences – CAUSES for short.
The mission of “CAUSES” is to offer research based academic and community outreach programs that improve the quality of life and economic opportunity of people and organizations here in the District of Columbia, the nation and the world. And what could be more relevant to that mission than creating jobs.
My guest on CAUSES knows a lot about creating jobs. Stanley Jackson is head of the Anacostia Economic Development Corporation; he is also former Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development under District of Columbia Mayor Anthony Williams, and even served as interim president of the Uni9versity of the District of Columbia.
