UP Govt Job Rules: ‘Violent Regime Change’ Clause Sparks Political Row | News9

Описание: Uttar Pradesh’s revised government job verification rules have sparked a political row over a clause concerning involvement in violent activities aimed at “regime change.”

The Yogi Adityanath government has tightened character verification requirements for candidates selected through direct recruitment. Those covered by the clause could be denied government employment. However, political ideology alone cannot disqualify an applicant, and an FIR or pending investigation does not automatically make a candidate ineligible.

The Samajwadi Party and Congress have criticised the move amid controversy over recent protest remarks. What do the revised rules mean for job aspirants, and why have they triggered an Opposition backlash? Watch News9’s report.
