Pattern:
With size 9 needles and worsted weight yarn cast on 60 stitches
Knit a 2x1 rib for 20 rows
Increase to 72 stitches by knitting 4 then knit every 5th stitch front and back
Knit 4, purl 2 for 4 rows
Cable knit 4 to the front (C4F), this means put the first 2 stitches on a cable needle and place in the front of your work, then knit the next 2 stitches, then knit the 2 stitches on the cable needle, purl 2
Repeat the last 2 sections 4 times for a total of 5 cable rows
Begin decreases:
Knit 4, purl 2 together
Knit 4, purl 1 for 2 rows
Knit 2, knit 2 together, purl 1
C3F, purl 1
Knit 1, knit 2 together, purl 1
Knit 2, purl 1
Knit 2 together, purl 1
Knit 2 together
Bind off and weave in ends
