As part of his contributions to his host state, a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member serving In Benin City, Edo State, Mr. Emmanuel Nnaemeka Vitus, has unveiled plans to train over 100 orphans above the age of 12 in digital technological skills in Benin.
Speaking to the Nigerian Tribune in Benin on the project, Emmanuel said the initiative christened ‘OrphanHub’ is scheduled to run between April 2 and April 19, adding that other corps members are expected to support the initiative as volunteers.
He disclosed that the initiative will serve as his ‘personal Community Development Service (CDS) project and is geared towards the purposeful empowerment of the underprivileged youths and children in the state.
The corps member added that the three weeks training sessions which are scheduled to take place every Wednesday to Friday beginning from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Edo Innovative Hub, Wire road in Benin
