Watched this visiting operator on the 80-D hoe. Smooth and precise, been running one for years.
...actually, he's an experienced hydraulic trackhoe operator, but first time on this machine was 2 days before. Talking with the guy, he described it as "Just a Trackhoe With Strings".
It's sad that so many younger excavator operators are afraid to get on a cable machine, although there are several young regular operators that run the 80-D well.
I believe the guy is from Tennessee, hope he comes back.
