The winter air feels sharp and refreshing, and a soft layer of snow covers the landscape, transforming Chiswick House and Gardens into a magical white wonderland.

We start the walk inside the Rosary, surrounded by thick tall hedges on both sides, creating a hidden green corridor now dusted in snow. The path ahead is beautifully covered in white, quiet and untouched. The Rosary feels like stepping into Narnia, silent, enchanted and completely immersive. The snow softens every sound, and this London winter scene feels nothing less than magical.

As we step out of the Rosary, the grand gardens of Chiswick House and Gardens open before us. The contrast of green grass and fresh snow creates a stunning green and white canvas. Dog walkers and peaceful afternoon strollers add gentle life to the landscape. About nine minutes and thirty seconds into the walk, we approach the frozen lake. For a moment it looks tempting to step onto the icy surface, but it is not safe to walk on. Still, the frozen water reflecting the pale winter sky looks absolutely beautiful.

The elegant Neo Palladian architecture of Chiswick House stands gracefully against the snowy gardens, symmetrical, refined and timeless in the soft winter light.

Built in the 18th century by Lord Burlington, Chiswick House is one of the finest examples of Neo Palladian architecture in Britain and a masterpiece of classical design.

After around nineteen minutes exploring the grounds, we exit onto Burlington Lane and transition from historic estate to residential West London. As we walk along Paxton Road and Sutherland Road, the atmosphere becomes calm and quiet. The snow has begun to thaw, cars are neatly parked on both sides, and the neighbourhood feels peaceful and local. Finally, we arrive near Hogarth Lane, reaching one of the gates of Chiswick House and Gardens where this serene winter walk comes to a cozy close.
